“ Food: 4/5 Hot soup and big portion. Couldn't finish my own bowl. Chicken was very nice. Love the peanuts snacks on the side. Service: came on thanksgiving day so they were very busy given not many places were open. Service was a bit slow because of it. But the staff always made sure to serve the food hot. Ambiance: many tables inside. Causal place :) ”
“ I lost count of how many take out orders we've had from here over the years. Tried many other nearby restaurants using the monthly Uber eat credit and always ended up coming back to Special Noodle Soup. Our dinner tonight consists of the following : Hainan chicken rice, the container was packed full of tender tasty chicken, flavored rice, pickles, peanuts, etc. Shrimp fried rice, generous portion with lots of shrimps, not greasy, a little too dry this time. Fried tofu is always good We also rotate with other favorites like the Curry beef stew, meat balls with rice noodles etc. etc. We appreciate SNS for it's high standard of quality, flavors, portions, value and consistency. It will continue to be on top of our go to list. ”
“ Ordered online via their website for takeout twice now. Overall, dishes taste good and are a hearty portion size for the price, and their menu has a pretty wide selection of dishes. You can BYO noodle bowl, or order one of their preset signature dishes. I found it interesting that they have beef noodle soup but with ramen noodles (or rice option) instead of with the typical thicker noodles. It still tasted good! We also got the beef chow fun, which was an all around favorite. We also tried the XO sauce shrimp stir fried vermicelli (excellent portion size), hainan chicken rice (excellent portion and tasty chicken), and the knife-cut dry noodles with spicy sauce (not really that spicy and could've included more noodles). All in all, solid place for Chinese food at a good price point. Parking lot is shared and often full (but there is nearby residential streets), so just be prepared when stopping by. Give a bit extra time for online orders as our order was not ready when we arrived by the promised time. Service was a bit spotty as they didn't bother telling us when order was complete (we had to go re-ask). Decent amount of seating inside, but not overly crowded. Would come back when craving some Chinese dishes. ”
“ I've been here several times, and I'm always very satisfied. I've tried the rice noodles with chicken soup base, which is incredibly flavorful. The basic set doesn't come with many toppings, but you can add side dishes to the chicken soup noodles according to your preference. I particularly love their beef meatballs - they're wonderfully springy and have a great texture. The Hainanese chicken rice is very authentic; the chicken is tender, and the side dishes, including cucumber, wood ear mushrooms, and peanuts, are all delicious. Today, I also tried the fried chicken cartilage - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. ”
“ Large space with decent seating. Communication was bit tough and difficult to get queries answered about the food. Noodle soup was okay - the bokchoy was too chewy. Few mushroom pieces tasted rotten. Even the ramen noodle did not taste fresh and lacked flavor. However, the hainan chicken with rice was very flavorful and well done. I just wish the dish was warm and not cold. ”
“ Overall food and environment was good. The service just ok. The waiter didn't come refill water once so don't expect much service. The food was good and it didn't take too long except for the beef roll. We ordered two but only 1 came out then had to wait another 15minutes for the next beef roll. Parking can be difficult as there is a market in the same plaza. Did heard from friends at that this location's is better than another special noodle in S. Bay. We like the dumplings, lamb and black sauce noodles most. ”
“ Came by for lunch the other day and it was a tasty experience. Ordered online via their website and my order was ready at the specified time. Parking is plentiful in the private lot or on the residential street. Staff were wearing masks and tight disposable gloves with their uniform. Ordered the seafood pan fried noodles and the pan fried noodles were placed separately from the gravy with the seafood. This was tasty. The hainan chicken was fresh and tasty too. It came with a couple ginger scallion for dipping. ~$20/head after tax with plenty of leftovers. ”
“ Good value of the special sets, tasty and reasonably priced. I like the chicken combo set with Hainan chicken and noodle soup with thick rice noodle. The soup is soothing and the chicken with the scallion and ginger sauce is tasty. However, each set comes a bit different in the chicken, like mine doesn't have a leg while my friend's set does. The duck set is also tasty and not overly oily. The duck meat soaked the brine well. The beef fried rice on the other hand is not that good as the beef are too finely chopped and took a long while to arrive at the table. It looks like if anything is not for a set or batch cooked it'll come late. Our waiter speaks Cantonese but they seemed to be busy to flag down. Not much decorations and it's more a family dining place so expect screaming children. ”
